Acting has always been in my blood since I was 3 years old. I’d put on little plays in front of my parents & other relatives. At age 5 when I was in kindergarten, I achieved the Leading/Singing role in a play. I received standing ovation after completing the play!
Well, that just was the beginning to a career waiting to blossom in my adult years.
In 1973, a good friend of mine was in the Motion Picture Industry. I was always asked to be allowed on the sets locally and across the country. This just enhanced my desire to act. A few times back then, I was even allowed to be background and meet such people as Tom Selleck, Sam Elliott, Katherine Ross, Kirk Douglas ( had lunch with him on board the Nimitz Aircraft Carrier), Martin Sheen, James Farentino & Charles Durning….just to drop a few names of celebrities I have meet.
At age 30, I went back to college to become a Registered Nurse which I completed 5 years later. That was a proud moment for me. I practiced in many different arenas for 14 years and then retired.
At age 50, the ol’ itch to act arose again. This time I acted on my “itch”. I began talking to some friends I know in the business and they lead me to Central Casting. I joined right then and there. Since then, I joined AFTRA in 2012 and because of the merger, I now was SAGAFTRA!
