BRIGHAM CITY - Marjorie Blanche Pitt Wiggins, 99, passed away peacefully March 20, 2014 at Maple Springs Senior Living Community in Brigham City, UT. Marjorie was born November 1, 1914 to James Hyder Pitt and Annie Augusta Pitt. She and her brother Calvin were raised in Ogden, UT. She attended Ogden City Schools, graduated from Ogden High School and attended Weber College. She was a life long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Marjorie married Glen Elliot Wiggins, August 30, 1935. Together they raised a family of three children; Calvin, Barbara, and Annette in Ogden. In 1964 Glen and Marjorie moved to Brigham City where they could be close to their children and grandchildren.
Marjorie was an accomplished seamstress, homemaker, gardener, painter and poet. Her handwork was extraordinary.
After raising her children Marjorie went to work at IRS. She later worked for and retired from Box Elder School District Office. She was very proud of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, dedicating her talents and time selflessly to them.
She is survived by her children; Calvin G. (Reva) Wiggins, Barbara L. (Roy) Bierer, Annette C. (Lionel) Harvey; 14 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband Glen, parents, one brother Calvin James Pitt and three great-grandchildren; Shawnee Hawks, Courtney Wright and Jonah Wright.
The family would like to thank Integrity Home Health and Hospice and Maple Springs Living Community for their love and care.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at the Brigham City Cemetery, 325 S. 300 E., Brigham City, UT.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City.
