Courtney Elizabeth Peterson
Once upon a time, there was a strikingly beautiful Princess with long blond hair, a beautiful smile, and perfect in every way. She was tall and graceful, and well dressed and carefully groomed. She took pride in her appearance. Everywhere she went, people would pause to watch her go by.
She was a caring and giving person, and true to her friends and family in every way. She was intelligent, beautiful and could light up a room just by walking in. She had the gift of gab and got along with all. She loved her corndogs. Courtney and the love her life, Angelo Sanchez, were inseparable. They had a baby boy they named Michael who became the center of her universe. And most of all she has her Daddy who loves her with all his heart.
Courtney Elizabeth Peterson, daughter of Erik Shawn Peterson and Rachel Holland, passed away in the very early hours of Monday, August 29, 2016. She died from an infection caused by the horrible disease of addiction. Our hearts are broken, but we will endure in honor of her memory.
She was born in an after-midnight hour, on a cold, dark December 22nd, in 1991. From that time on, her birthday marked ascent into spring for us, and since that day, she's been the sunshine of our life.
She is survived by her parents; her son, Michael Sanchez Trejos and his Daddy Angelo Sanchez; her sisters, Kamalani Sims (Brooke), Hailey Crabb; brothers, Dash Sims (Preston), Mason Peterson, and Dakota Crabb; and her favorite uncle Joseph Brett Stewart, plus countless aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She had a special bond with her grandma Marilynn Peterson who loves her so much, now and forever.
She was preceded in death by her Grandpa Norman "Pete" Peterson; Grandpa Roger Crockett; Great-Grandma Norma Peterson; Grandma Wanda Ringel; grandpa Fred Ringel; Aunt Judy Ringel, and cousin Angelina Barone.
You are forever in our hearts Baby Girl.
