Charles Kerry Mitchum, 57, native of Roanoke and a resident of Loxley, died Monday, Jan. 26, 2015, at USA Medical Center.

He was a police officer previously for Greenville Police Department and Bay Minette Police Department and was currently employed at Loxley Police Department. He was a member of Robertsdale Masonic Lodge #821, AL043 Fraternal Order of Police Baldwin County Lodge and was the treasurer for Kodosh Masonic Riding Association.

He is survived by his daughter, Angela Marie (husband, Mitchel) Williams of Stapleton; his son, Jarrod Keith Mitchum of Stapleton; the mother of his children, Gaye Mitchum Pitts of Stapleton; two grandchildren, Colby Hays Williams and Alyssa Nicole Williams; two brothers, Tommy (wife, Helen) Mitchum of Roanoke and Bobby (wife, Armanda) Mitchum of Fort Worth, Texas; one sister, Connie (husband, Alan) Workman of Roanoke; eight nieces and seven nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, BJ and Catherine Mitchum, and two brothers, Benny Mitchum and Donny Mitchum.
