Carol Brown Webb

Grandma Webb

Carol was born October 13, 1938, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Lynn and Margaret Spencer Brown. She was raised and received her education in Salt Lake City, graduating from Granite High School. She married Allan L. Webb on October 15, 1956, in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Allan and Carol spent their first 18 years of marriage in Bluffdale, Utah. It was while living there that they were blessed with six children. They have many friends with whom they have stayed close since living there. In 1975, they moved their family to Raft River, Idaho, where she resided until the time of her death.

Carol spent most of her life serving those around her. She was a volunteer for the Cassia Memorial Hospital Pink Ladies for many years and loved the time spent there. She and Allan served a mission to the Mormon Battalion Visitors Center in San Diego, California, from 1998 until 1999. While there, they also served in the San Diego Temple, which she loved! Carol and Allan also served together as Declo Stake Missionaries and at the LDS Cannery for two years. Over the years, Carol has served in many different church callings including Primary President, Young Women's President, and at the time of her illness was Relief Society President of the Raft River Ward.

Carol was a wonderful cook and found great joy in serving home cooked meals and making goodies for all who came around. She also loved traveling with friends and family and enjoyed playing games and entertaining in her home, which was always filled with family. Sundays at Grandma's house was always the highlight of the week. She was the best wife, mother, grandma, and friend anyone could ask for and will be dearly missed.

Carol is survived by her eternal friend and companion, Allan; two daughters, Cheryl (Kenny) Darrington of Raft River, and Stacy (LaMont) Turner of Declo; Four sons, Mark (Cathi) Webb, Scott (Becky) Webb, and Todd ( Laurie) Webb, all of Raft River, and Kurt (Angie) Webb of Thayne Wyoming; 25 grandchildren; one brother, LaMar (Margaret) Brown of Magna, Utah; and her sisters, Lila (Bob) Crookston of Kearns, Utah, Doris (Reeve) Norman of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Gaye (Dick) Yates of Riverton, Utah.

Carol was proceded in death by her parents, Lynn and Margaret Brown.
